New Brush Trucks

The new brush trucks are starting to take shape. The trucks are scheduled to be back from Quesco at the end of August for the last details to be completed. Click Here for more information on the new trucks.

2008 Rowan County Fire & Rescue Association Fireman's Muster

On Saturday May 3rd Locke Fire Department participated in the 2008 Fire Muster at Dan Nicholas Park. Union Fire Dept. hosted the event. Fourteen departments from across the county showed up to compete. Locke firefighters took first place in the Water Ball event. One Locke apparatus won top prize in the apparatus competition. Squad 63 for Best EMS Vehicle. Participating members include:  Rusty Alexander, Bradley McKnight, Randy Beaver, Chris Kluttz, Robert Wilson, Kevin Johnson, Chad Michael, Jimmy Wilhelm, Graham Parrish, Jeff Guild, and Jesse Winecoff. Other members and families also attended to show there support and have fun. Thanks to everyone!

Mission Statement

The Mission Statement of the Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Locke Township from fires, hazardous materials incidents, natural disasters; to save lives by providing emergency medical services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a resource for those looking to preserve the camaraderie, brotherhood and traditions of the Fire Service.  To encourage as well as teach about brotherhood, honor, pride and to uphold the memory of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to continue the growth of what we hold Sacred.
