Locke Battles 2 Outbuilding Fires in 12 Hours

Locke Fire Department worked two structure fires in a 12-hour span on Friday, 01/22/16.

 

The first was a mutual aid response to Franklin.  E-622 and R-62 answered a 0038 hrs. dispatch to Goodson Acres Dr. for an outbuilding fully involved.  E-622 was first in, stretching a 1-3/4″ preconnect for knockdown.  E-771 provided water on a 3″ supply.  The R-62 crew supported overhaul operations by Franklin and Woodleaf.

The incident was marked under control and both units went available at 0209 hrs.

At 1344 hrs., Locke was dispatched to a structure fire in the district.  POV response confirmed a working fire in the 700 block of Hallmark Estates Drive; E-633 took the driveway and stretched a 1-3/4″ preconnect to extinguish an outbuilding.  E-622 and E-624 provided water supply and tools; SQ-58 supported manpower for overhaul operations.  The incident was marked under control  and preceded by a response by FMO.
