Person of the Year
Locke Fire Department Person of the Year award was given annually to the person that contributed the most to the fire department. This award was not given to just firefighters though. Recipients could be anyone in the community. Contributions included fund raising efforts, answering fire calls, or helping other firefighters out in times of need just to name a few. This award was given from 1956 to 1998. In 1999 the award was changed to the Narvie Bonds Firefighter of the Year award.

Narvie Bonds Firefighter of the Year
The award is named for former Fire Chief Narvie Bonds and is given annually. It is given to the firefighter that contributes the most to the fire department and the community through answering fire calls, participation in training and displaying the professionalism and honor that the fire service and community expect. This award was formerly the Person of the Year award until 1999.
